MBCA Annual Meeting & Greywater Presentation
The Morongo Basin Conservation Association gathers for its 57th Annual Meeting in the Yucca Room at the Yucca Valley Community Center, a cornerstone of civic life in the high desert. This Saturday morning gathering offers a clear-eyed look at what’s taking shape across the Morongo Basin, with an overview of current development proposals and local housing issues that are shaping the future of our communities. A featured presentation by greywater expert Nicholas Holmes will introduce practical ways to reuse household water, conserve limited supplies, and adapt desert living to a drier future. It’s a chance to learn how small changes at home can add up across the basin. The morning also serves as a social and networking hub for residents who care about conservation, land use, and the character of the desert. Attendees can connect with neighbors, pick up information at a ‘share table’ of periodicals and publications, and stop by the membership table to join or renew MBCA membership. Breakfast snacks, beverages, and a light lunch will be provided. Hosted by MBCA in the Yucca Valley Community Center, this free community event welcomes long-time residents and newcomers alike who want to stay informed and involved in the future of the Morongo Basin.
