SPACE CRAFT opens its Pappy & Harriet's weekend indoors on Friday, August 14, with Sun Atlas and ESG. Sun Atlas starts at 9:30 p.m., bringing a Los Angeles mix of Afrobeat, cinematic soul, Ethio-jazz, surf, garage funk, and hip-hop breaks. ESG follows at 10:30 p.m. with a one-hour set. Formed in the South Bronx in 1978 by the Scroggins family, ESG built its sound from drums, bass, guitar, and percussion. That spare rhythmic language moved between punk rooms and dance floors, then traveled through hip-hop sampling culture. Sun Atlas meets that lineage from the West Coast, giving Friday's Indoor Stage a direct line from Los Angeles outernational funk to South Bronx dance-punk. Tickets start at $110 and rise to $265 by tier. The festival is all ages, every attendee needs a ticket, and guests under 18 must attend with an adult.
