Turtle Travels

Turtle Travels turns Hi-Desert Nature Museum into a slow, hands-on journey through the lives of turtles and tortoises. Visitors step onto a giant game board, move through interactive stations, and follow the hazards turtles face in the wild, from road crossings and changing habitat to predators and the pet trade. The exhibition is built for families and curious museum-goers, with pieces on field tracking, sea turtles, shell adaptations, conservation actions, and the small choices that help protect turtle habitat. It is on view during regular museum hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., through September 5. Admission is free, with the museum located inside the Yucca Valley Community Center complex.
